Description
An awesome athletic adventure for those who crave for hiking and mountaineering. This program with a physical rating of 4 / 5 is dedicated to athletes who are familiar with mountains and are experienced in its related sports. You will face the challenges of reaching the peak of the highest volcanic mountain in Asia and also the highest peak in the middle east area, named Damavand with 5610 meters of height.
Itinerary
Day one: Entering Tehran
Entering Tehran then directly transfer to the hotel
Day two: Tajrish area and ascendance to Shirpala shelter
A halfway tour around Tajrish area to see the famous bazaar of Tajrish and Imamzade Saleh mosque there. Then starting a journey to ascend to Shirpala shelter at the height of 2750 which takes about 3 hours of hiking yet spending the night in the shelter.
Day three: Tochal peak and Reyneh village
Early in the morning heading towards the Tochal peak (3960m) which takes about 5 hours to reach then heading down the mountain with Tele-e-cabin. After that transfer from Velenjak to Reyneh (3hours drive) to spend the night there in the local house.
Day four: Goosfandsara to the Third Shelter
Early in the morning transfer to Goosfandsara (3000m) with a 4wd car then from there hiking for 4 to 5 hours to reach the Third Shelter which is located at the height of 4150m. Also spending the night in the shelter.
Day five: Ascending to Damavand peak
Starting the final journey towards the Damavand peak (5610m). Takes about 6 hours to reach the peak then 4 hours to come back from there to the shelter.
Day six: Going back to Goosfandsara and Reyneh
Descending to Goosfandsara then returning to Reyneh. Changing transfer and coming back to Tehran to rest.
Day seven: Departure
Transfer to Imam Khomeini airport to end this beautiful challenging journey.
